Shout out to the guy sat next to me in the cinema who got to the bit where the Cyclops turns up in The Odyssey and just said to himself "Well that's ridiculous" and got up and left and didn't come back.

Similar Latin and any of its derived languages you can understand some words but meaning sometimes it's difficult to grasp

Some understand it better, but I reckon it's not easy for most. Myself I failed ancient greek in school (we were studying the Odyssey) so hardly among the best.

That's a very thin column l no wonder it cracked under the stress. *Not a civil engineer* just never seen such a thin column used even for small houses.
