I think companies could gain a tiny bit of goodwill* if they were prioritizing anything impactful including daily grievances like "when your browser does autofill it will reliably know things like Washington = WA and it won't glitch out when entering a phone number without dashes".

I think we need to put a moratorium on all new software and websites until we figure out forms. Like, for instance, what if autofill reliably worked? And furthermore, what if every form had functional parsing and data validation?
