BBC giving priority to imperial units, while using inappropriate levels of precision for the results. They also put the comma in the wrong place in the answer. I bet he *didn't* say "around 54992 gallons", he probably used the metric figure, so they're also misquoting him, as well.

Another howler is the totally inappropriate level of precision in their conversion. 250,000 has a precision of 2 digits, so the conversion should have the same, or fewer digits i.e. 55,000 gallons.
