Another example of why I enjoy this series so much. An artist I really never cared for, but knew very little about so learning about him and the process was fascinating. Great example of why this is “a history of” not “500 songs everyone should love and what’s wrong with you if you don’t”

Latest episode of @500songspodcast.bsky.social about Peaches en Regalia (Frank Zappa) was excellent as always. I always learn something new, like that Zappa was extremely instrumental (pun intended?) in popularizing the wah-wah peddle. He introduced Clapton and Hendrix to it, for example.

Ugh omg @500songspodcast.bsky.social I just started the GTOs episode and your description of the types of fandom made me tear up, it was so accurate (for a curationist).
