I need to chime in here. That act could hurt the Rs more than the Ds. Married woman who have taken the husband's name won't be able to vote. Statistically more R women do that as compared to D women. Which means more R voters will be disenfranchized than D voters.

I took my husbands name due to the hurt associated with my last name. I did not want it. It was like washing myself clean and started a new life. I am not a republican. I know at least a dozen women just like me. It will hurt us more since there are more male Rs than male Ds.
