This will likely ruin bluesky as it's already the least "social" media. Guaranteeing that elite groups won't have to interact with us muggles may help you monetize but it's not very good for discourse.

Still getting the age verification requirement when I try to go into DMs. For some reason, bsky is the only social media provider forcing me to expose my personally identifiable information to risk in order to chat directly with another user.

It might be disappointing, but in Japan, chat and DMs aren't used much on Bluesky, and I don't think they'll be used much in the future. Because a big number of people who had bad experiences with DMs on X have moved to Bluesky, and they don't want the same unpleasant experiences to happen again.
