Decades working, I had a shortlist of where I wanted to move to when I retired. TN was top of the list, after driving through in the 90s. Beautiful area. Then as I got closer to retirement I saw this happening there. Because they became so conservative they lose people who might've moved there.

TN does not require stating a party affiliation, but none of the adjacent states have more than 50% registered republicans. It is safe to assume TN has a similar split, which makes the map obscene.

I remember hearing about gerrymandering in school and I figured it was nothing to worry about because the courts would never permit it.

The partisan hacks on the Extreme Court need to be brought under control. We need a Blue Senate and House.

As the SCOTUS is clearly okay with this, every blue state must gerrymander. It is a race for democracy. Fixing gerrymandering when Democrats retake the House and Senate is the only option—after SCOTUS problems are solved. It must be done with speed.
