He is currently trying to negotiate a deal with SCE to raise electric rates on consumers and cap compensation to total loss wildfire survivors (think Altadena/ Palisades). It'll be a huge tell. If he chooses big biz then he's not the change we need.

I keep saying that if Newsom somehow wins 2028 we'll see him pull the whole "We need to look forward, not backwards" bit, and none of the Trump admin or GOP will face any consequences. He's very transparently awful if you're watching/listening to *everything* he does/says.
