WTF is an "evening of parenting?" 99% of my evenings are spent parenting, at least in part. It's literally just "an evening" because "am parent."

Yeah this is how parenting is for me and my wife. It's 99% both of us unless one of us is out of town or mowing the lawn or whatever

domestic stuff but mostly because he’s home all day and I’m not. It’s not 50/50 I guess but we both play our parts.

Like, we both know the other person has a maximum capacity for mental and physical work and they aren’t always even everyday. We give and take and I just thought how that’s supposed to work.

Babies can exasperate perceived chore/housework imbalances but if you guys already have a balance that works for you and understand that one person isn’t trying to get over on the other by shirking feedings and changings, you’ll be just fine
