It is great to have to have this all in one place. It’s amazing how much this weird misinformation still drives the terror of crime among people living in the safest moment in modern US history.
mtswGreat piece on the largely imaginary shoplifting surge: I do think one thing the piece misses is that a bunch of major police departments started years-long work slowdowns in 2020 where they refused to do their jobs (often falsely claiming their hands were tied by woke prosecutors)
