it feels like, with respect to the original, it has a more coherent visual and narrative style than GoT, maybe because it got to depart from the books? But Gothic is exactly right. It's much more of a horror show, in the Gothic sense.

Stephen Miller said just the other day that all asylum claims are "fake." A couple deported from the U.S. to Guatemala were gagged, bound, and shot dead. Their 14-month old found crying next to their mother's body. People like Miller don't care though because this is the point: ethnic cleansing.

That guy underappreciates his risk of physical danger from that crowd at that moment.

People like "a billion dollars is the socio-economic equivalent of a loose nuke", but ignoring specific dollar amounts, it's *very bad* that we have established a system of community rule-making and enforcement, and then allowed a tiny percentage a way to not just opt out, but attempt to destroy it.

The thing about obscene wealth and a culture of instant gratification is that you become incapable of waiting for your deranged wishful thinking to meet all material requirements to become reality.
