Lots of people (rightly) pointing out that, yes, of course, you keep sweet or risk another assault, but what gets me is the *six days later* of it all. not even going for the "she cooked for me the same day!", like, even if you believe him that sounds bad, right

The Bulwark

Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"

an annoying addition to this fact: all dinosaurs are classified as either ornithischian ("bird-hipped") or saurischian ("lizard-hipped"). birds are dinosaurs, but they are specifically lizard-hipped dinosaurs.

Kory Bing

Lots of people replying/quoting this with jokes about dinosaurs/jurassic park/etc and it’s a good time for a favorite fun fact: all birds are literally a branch of theropod dinosaurs that split off from other theropods in the Jurassic period. They look like dinosaurs because they are dinosaurs.

look I actually did like lockdown, for my own perverse reasons (incredible introvert who at the time had zero school-age children and very bad germophobic OCD) but I don't think anybody really has ever argued that lockdowns had NO downsides
