I had a similar experience when I started. I built a massive universe that is continuing to expand — Fuchsia Comics. I'm sure it'll never be in print at all, and if it is, I'm sure it'll never be big, but it's mine, and it's LGBTQ+ and contains erotica, and I'm proud of it. So fuck 'em.
