Our golden was absolutely ruled by our house rabbit. She would snatch his carrots right out from under him, eat kibble out of the dog bowl, and whap him in the nose when she was at HIS water bowl drinking. In return, he worshipped her and was her devoted servant for both of their lives.

A Golden Brady lived next door to me here in NH a few years ago, but I never saw his pet rabbit! Brandy's human dad wasn't as nice as Brady was, though. This was awhile ago, when all dogs were named Brady, living in the Northeast...you know, when the Patriots were winning...

Dammit.. i just had to put a BB bunny back in it nest after one my dummies dragged it out, luckily it was the more gentle curious dog so i was undamaged.

One of my bloodhounds was a stellar bunny partner not enough room to share when first bun passed an how second bun returned the loyalty when hound passed- Sadly not enough vets with bun expertise

Years ago my 2 Bouviers had a bunny in my house.....my girl, Sadie, would snuggle with her. However, Sadie's brother Max, would pace constantly....the word bubble above his head must've said, "Does anyone else see that there's a bunny in the house? OMG there's a bunny in the house! Do something!"

This gave me a much needed smile today. Adorable!

While this is cute, it only takes one second for that dog to kill his 'friend'. A misplaced footstep, a sneeze that scared the rabbit into cardiac arrest, a lick that leads to an infection... Even with supervision, this is scary. I say this as someone who had a dog and bunny who were pals.

Adorable. I love friendships between different species living together. My dog adores her two cats and they love her. She has also since a puppy helped look after the chickens. You only have to say let's go let out/lock up the chickens and she's there ahead. They now follow her back to the run!

So adorable. I wonder if the dog was always rabbit friendly, or if it is possible to train? My shelter adoption used to chase them, and he pulled my arm out of its socket on several occasions on leashed walks.

I once knew a German Shepherd who believed he was a rabbit, and when excited - which was frequently - would attempt to hop around. Massively funny, but we were most of us Loaded at the time. So there is that.

I think Brady deserves a rating of 15/10 for his exceptional bunny-waking skills and commitment to responsible pet ownership, anything less would be an understatement.
