I am hating that stylized art is being replaced by dull realistic models and it almost solely so they can better train a generative AI to take someone's job eventually
i love different things in Rayman, but the leaning towarda realism keeps putting me off. I like the emphasis and design of Betilla in this, but i can't see the personality like in Origins. It feels less like the character and more like a different take.
this game got me all kindsa mixed up :(
well i see the vision
Betilla is the one and only thing in the game to use this style, and there's probably a reason for it
doesn't mean i have to like it
I mean origins betilla also looks and acts nothing like the original betilla. I just view these as unrelated games where the only constant since rayman 2 is globox
the party hat is like the one thing that *did* stay consistent in both designs X> boobs were just a bonus, although in hindsight even for Origins what an large departure from the initial design to start with
It does stink of starfox on switch 2 but do i have to say that comparing that with the Rayman remake, the Big Diference is that One looks uglier than the other
I can't say that I played enough of Rayman 1 to say that it's bad, but I can say I immediately did not have good feelings about it. And I'm pretty used to janky platformers.
But I might give it another try one day.
This redesign might be the most offensive thing about the game so far that I've seen. Like who the fuck is this World of Warcraft expansion ass character
ngl, I kinda like the concept of having all these cartoon characters and then there's just one gigantic super-realistic human woman there. But it's always gonna look like a downgrade compared to the original style.
