And now the TVA are going to be important in the next movie and...I don't understand how. As you say, it was two seasons setting up the big bad (as well as the meaningless Quantumania) only for that to not matter at all. They should have just recast him.

Reminds me of how the UK created a tax credit scheme to help British video games studios get off the ground. There were set rules to what qualified you. Things like making Britain look good and all that. R* has claimed 37% of the funding so far. And they have fulfilled 0 criteria for those funds.
