It's wild how literally enraged people will get at the mere *suggestion* that people who kill people while driving should have to ride the bus. Not even go to jail - the suggestion that someone should not drive after killing somebody with their car is treated as a personal attack.

killing people with a car is like, fine. you can only kill people near a road, which means you're not doing War, and you can only kill people who are not in a car or who are in a smaller car than yours, which means your not killing someone richer than you. So what's the problem?

First off, “gentrify Berkeley“??? Second: mister anti-gentrification can’t handle what the plebes he’s apparently so concerned about use to get around? What kind of incoherent, self-justifying nonsense is this?

I rarely drive but when I do, it reminds me how much I hate driving.

Just a heads up, he didn't kill a cyclist. He killed the passenger in his car. But still.

We really need some car bushido. Everybody going around acting like it's not murder as long as you use a sword to kill someone.

Imaging how offended Doomloop Homicide Dispatch would be to be compared to Caitlyn Jenner, but they both murdered someone with their car and got away with it. (They're also both shallow, spoiled, venial Republicans but that's kind of the icing on the cake: being the same kind of asshole.)

Anybody in urban California who says they prefer driving to not driving is stupid, lying, or crazy.
