Made a kinda wonky rubix cube/battenberg-inspired birthday cake, but my niblings loved it so must have tasted good!

I'm not crafty and lack the determination to see any story I write thru to the end, but I am a cake decorator by trade. Here's some of the stuff I've done lately

I learned to make granny squares via YouTube tutorials. Its not very well made but I'm so proud of it.

This wee fella took a solid 3 years, but I'm so happy with him :) Seaglass kiwi made from kiwi seaglass, with pounamu for the beak and paua for the eyes

I remade an old journal cover so I could auction it off for the last OFMD craft fair. I had made this journal a few years ago but fumbled quite a bit with it. The result was not perfect, but I was still pretty pleased with it. And of course I loved how I made the pages. My favorite creation so far.

I just finished making this beaded pigeon. One foot is a bit skew-whiff but I'm going to say it was intentional to make it more realistic.

I used to make a lot of 1:6 scale stage set pieces and furniture mostly from cardboard to create reference images for drawing. I've got rid of most of it all now, but have hung a few bits on the wall.

Made this shirt for sun and bug protection while biking out of some linen that didn’t work for the original idea. It’s a medieval method made of rectangles. Collar is wonky. But it works for its intended purpose!

baby quilt for a friend! first thing i ever quilted!

Forever this guy 🥰 Never made anything I love as much as Otis before or since. I didn't intend to trim his ears down like his snoot, a scissor accident meant I had to, but they made him EVEN CUTER.

I have so many proudly finished products, but right now I'm trying to sort/organize my out-of-control fabric stash and hoo boy I am in the "worse before it gets better" stage of organizing 🙃 (don't let the bins fool you, I have no further plan for where they go now)

I'm still making the first actual item of clothing I've tried beyond gloves and scarves, but still so happy with it! I got bored with the sleeves last year and stopped trying, but I've been working on it again lately (because Smallest Kid will only still fit it this year and winter's almost over 😂)

I’m not overly good with crafts but would like to learn something like crochet at some point, especially after seeing the amazing items many talented pirates have made. Having said that, I did do this for the Cryptid Factor at Edinburgh fringe last year & luckily got it signed by the boys & Halina!
