That statement is more than just about football. There are undertones about the shocking state of leadership in the US and the impression that everything is up for grabs as long as you give the Trump family a cut.

We hope it's more than a negotiation tactic. Their counterparts gave very weak statements which focused on the process and not the subject. Infantino’s statement offered them $20mil upfront and another $20mil later. Some may just be holding out for more. UEFA will have to back up their statement.

Not at all. But Infantino just let it die so quickly. This may be the start of a larger negotiation rather than a complete withdrawal. I hope I'm wrong but I won't believe it's dead until it is. Also, pay attention, LigaMX just permanently ended pro/rel. Money is coming for this game.

I should make clear, R. Madrid, PSG and Barca are richer than most English clubs, but overall, the Premier League is significantly richer than any other country's top league. Anyway, I can't see Spain playing in this US league.
