Sometimes it feels like Bernie Sanders is the only "Democrat" left in Congress, and he is a registered Independent. (I know that it is not quite the case, but some days it feels like it.) 35% of Mamdani's winning vote came from Independent voters. They tend to look more closely at the candidates.

Unfortunately, 1/3 of the country prefer Trump's method. Racism is a hellava drug.

The Dems should start labeling the GOP and Trump as “Corporate Socialists.” They always have money to help big business but never for the individual American.

Weirdly enough, there's a correspondence between the money spent on campaigns, and winning. Though not a perfect one. I think he eventually tanks no matter how much he spent.

Better question is which side the American people are on. So many conditioned to reflexively fear the mere word “socialism” without having the faintest idea on what it actually means.

Nothing is free except empty platitudes.

If the American people were on the side of these kinds of policies pushed by Mamdani and fought by Republicans every step of the way, Republicans wouldn’t run almost the entire country and win most elections. But they do. Because the American people like what Republicans have to offer.

Again, Mamdani does not have to fight Republican’s daily to get things done. NYC’s local legislative & executive branches are overwhelmingly dominated by the Democratic Party. This should motivate everyone nationwide to vote Republican’s out and give Democrat’s the majority.

My relatives in Maga-landia are freakin out about that "SOCIALISM" will take over an seize all their tiny assets and take all their pay in taxes. Even worse, give it all away to un-deserving non-white peoples.

But this is 100% CRAP, because 90,000,000 "AMERICAN PEOPLE" sat on their ass and DIDN'T VOTE in 2024, and another 77,000,000 VOTED FOR THIS. We'll see what happens in November. If the "American People" keep Republicans in power and give them MORE seats in Congress, THIS conversation needs to END.

Hate to say this, but I have a feeling there are plenty of people who think cutting funding for child care is a good idea. That’s how we ended up here.

Governor Hochul is on the side of the people. That's where Mamdani got the budget. She already had childcare funding allocated. But somehow...she's not getting any credit and his stans say she sucks. 🤔 It's not like he got is from taxing the rich - like he promised, but never had the power to do.

I follow Bernie and Mamdani. Both have excellent backgrounds for us, the real citizens.

No one does free. But free to low cost is great. And increase the overall quality too. Just like everyone pays for their health care in some form of tax assessment.

Watched Bernie on Meet the Press. It was a shit show but not as bad a RFK Jr on CNN. He gets cranky when challenged. He refused to take any responsibility for supporting Platner (or Fetterman who disses him now). He was rude to Welker. Time for him to hang up his saddle.
