Did the kid get his gun back? I know he can't get his parents back, but I'm incensed that the police took his gun away! Such an elegant speaker at CPAC, and he had just lost both his parents! I can't wait to see him in Angel Studio's all pre-teen reboot of Red Dawn (Where the US invades Taiwan)!

I was thinking it might be implying he shot his Mom but I wasn't sure. At the very least she died due to a gun feels pretty clear from the zoom in on the grave after "he loves guns".

That's the bit yeah. In the most recent InfoWars episode Jim has the kid on to exploit him and make his situation into a far right protect our guns 2A position, but when you listen to the kid you find out he found his parents gun on accident and shot them dead.

I just watched the Porkin' Across America series the other day which was the last place we left the Jim Haggerty character (played by Brad Holbrook) before he apparently became an alt right podcaster on the Real InfoWars, and it definitely goes in some disturbing directions.

Hopefully, @realinfowars.bsky.social is able to clearly show the clips are satire Disinformation and other evolutions have had an impact on the humour industry - we may need to express our wit in ways beyond sarcasm and negative-spin mimicry or risk being taken for that which we mean to ridicule

I can't speak for everyone, but imo they do a pretty good job of taking a scenario that holds a mirror to real people or events that really happen, but going absurd enough with it that if someone doesn't initially catch the satire, it should eventually dawn on them.

I do think maybe this series will be a bit more niche; it seems like not a ton of people knew what InfoWars was, and I think it does appeal to those terminally online folks like me who have known of Alex Jones as a lolcow for years.

Tim Heidecker as the new host is doing a pretty great just straight up imitation mockery of Alex Jones. It's funny but for the best effect you kind of have to know what AJ is like and how he ran his show, like the fact he has drunkenly rambled before on his (former) supposedly serious news show.
