Okay there's a lot of dumb shit here but 5 is genuinely good. Dunno about 6 though, I think we should make political parties less important, not more. If you want a policy for that: any systemic adaptation for political parties should be removed. For instance, do not list political party on ballots.

I think, as well, there's probably a lot of "our funding will be even lower if we go after powerful people, so better to go after the little guy". They might even think it's morally correct. My overall point is that there are systemic issues. It's probably not as simple as laziness.

The framing of "this belongs to Labour" is ridiculous. If we said this seat "belonged" to any individual there would be an outcry that that's undemocratic. It's even worse to extend that to people they're associated with.

Genuinely extraordinary that the UK Government are using the experience in Scotland as a reason not to control extreme rent hikes. I had many constituents threatened with 20%, 30%, 40% rent hikes or more. They saved thousands of pounds as a result of the rent freeze I took through Parliament.
