They should be called "The Opportunist Party", but I'd guess Winston has that kind of flipflop politics stitched up for the right wing. That's kind of his "thing"

Worth noting that this is what it takes for National to rule you out: wanting to tax rich people more. NZ First hadn't been ruled out for promoting transphobia or racism, nor has ACT, though issues aren't deal breakers for National

Q Wing's comments made me roll my eyes a little, she continues to talk as if politics is people getting together to find the best ideas to govern the country, when that's not how it works, different parties represent different class interests, National represents large landholders in particular

I think the biggest thing about this whole discussion is that it exposes how ridiculous and anti democratic MMP is. The best we get is vote for one of two bully parties via who they decide their friends are. How is this not one big joke?
