Way ahead on that. Haven't subscribed in years, unplugged and stored my PS5 in the attic as their games and attitude don't interest me anymore

Would be good idea to do it when an important game releases (GTA 6).

That's easy for me, haven't turned PlayStation on since that announcement. Even missed out on the last ever DOOM because of it, but what can you do 🤷

This reminds me: there are games on the PS3 store I want to get, but obviously I don't like the idea of giving Sony money. I'm definitely not buying digital on PS4 & I don't even own a PS5, but PS3... My current plan is: earmark money and buy everything just before the store closes. Is that enough?

You know dang well that's not gonna do squat. 😒 When many of us canceled our PS Plus subscriptions to protest the price hikes, that didn't do jack squat at all. People still paid for it any online play is still locked behind it. The result WILL be the same here. It's just inevitable.

You guys are a joke. It's barely any time at all, and I'm sure a majority of you will crack within 3 days.

Want to make a boycott work? Cancel your Plus membership. Refund any recent purchases. Stay off PSN until they make changes. Not playing for a week is already accounted for as acceptable loss margins... especially because you're already telling them when you'll be back.

You are aware of how performative this is right, it's during Gamescom week, one of the bigger events Sony usually attends and it's highly likely that Activision will end up dropping some form of beta for the next COD game then. Also a certain Metal Gear collection drops in that week

I think a better idea is to do it for longer! Hold it indefinitely and then Sony will HAVE to listen. :3

So no worldwide coordinated? I would assume it would be more clear if the boycott was simultaneously in every region. I understand that for many, 7PM CEST will be a time they would've already not played (be it work or sleep time), but a gradual blackout doesn't seem as clear as a worldwide one.

“No logins, play sessions or purchases on any of Sony’s platforms” So like, you’re basically telling people to not even touch their PS3’s or below assuming they have one? You are aware that this “boycott” would be equally effective if you just told people to not touch their PS5’s right?
