Is this just for mobile? I went to access those same settings on my desktop computer and there's no section to toggle off.

I'm doing this from the web, since I don't currently have the app installed, but the sharing and reuse section of settings: www.instagram.com/accounts/set... doesn't seem to have anything relating to AI for me. I've turned off all the re-sharing options anyway while I was there.

I've never heard of reels or know what it is, it's been that long since I logged on. Am now just deleting all my pictures and posts then closing the account. Thanks for the heads-up on this.

Will these settings actually do anything? Didn’t you already agree to hand over all rights to those images when you signed up for Instagram? And how could you tell/prove it if your images got used anyway?

Not everyone will have both Posts and Reels. Many of us just have Reels. So we need to check back periodically to get the one we do not have currently.

I've just noticed this does not opt out content already posted, you have to go through and turn that off on each and every post manually because of course they want to make it as hard as possible

Weird, this was already set to "OFF" when I looked at it.

Makes me glad my account is privated. It is annoying I cannot find the sharing and reuse on the app. Either they did not do it yet or they made it harder to find.

Just above that, I see that there is an option for "allow anyone to create with and reuse" for both posts and reels--is that also worth switching off as well? It sounds like this is like standard re-posting functionality, but everything sounds so ominous now.
