Inspired by @beckyannison.bsky.social - scones happened. Cheese ones and fruit ones to the recipe in Margueritte Patten's Every Day Cook Book which arrived this morning. Had to go out to two shops to find cream.

Just realised that at least one of my *great* grandparents was in fact too young to have had an occupation other than "school" in 1926.

Ha, having unlocked phone with password or face i realise several apps will only do fingerprints, so protector removed.

Bah, bought a case and screen protectors with new phone - they arrived 2 days later. Screen protector has a circle in it where the fingerprint scanner is. Only that bit doesn't seem to stick as well as the rest so there's now a splodge in the middle of the screen and it can't read my fingerprints.
