He's been in politics for 20+ years, I'd say he's well vetted.

Mainers chose candidates not constantly thinking about their genitalia.

Maine is 91.4% white from the last census. Though white lady vs white lady would be pretty fun to watch the commentary on.

Maine dems just nominated a woman for governor after 8 years of a woman for governor and one of their two reps has been a woman for like 15 years but okay. Maybe Jackson was just the best person for the job

I'm glad you like him. He isn't a PHustle stand in. He IS everything PHustle lied about being. Jackson doesn't lie like PHustle does. Jackson called Le Page what Le Page is. Troy Jackson stands on his own and does not need or deserve the stain of The Hustler.

Jackson was the Maine State Senate President from 2018 - 2024. He’s been in politics since 2002. His track record is easily searchable.

I will no longer support any candidate that wants to find "common ground" with fascists. I'm happy not to have anything at all in common with them. Anyone that talks like that should be running as a republican.

Since 2012 he's changed is views on abortion (and a lot of other things) and now says it's a woman's right. As a state legislator he co-sponsored some of the strongest legislative protections for reproductive rights in the US.

A lot of people are ex Republican because the GOP these days is nothing like the party even 40 years ago. Troy Jackson is from northern Maine and is conservative but conservative in the sense that he believes in the Constitution and working for the greater good.
