Don here signed his $1 million endorsement deal in 1964, the same year Buffett took over Berkshire. Had Don run into Warren while in Omaha for a PBA Tour event and invested it all in Berkshire, those endorsement proceeds would be worth $60 billion today.

One trend that’s not overly obvious in the financial discourse is the capex substitution by way of opex and as much contingent liabilities as ratings agencies will allow them to get away with. It’s unfortunately really hard to quantify how much is pushed out this way vs. own b/s capacity baseline
Conor SenRealistically Meta can't/won't raise equity at these prices, so they only have one lever to fund additional capex spend from here.

I'm sorry to hear "brainstorming and studying" w/ AI is approved by the students. Been an educator for 4 decades, and those two areas--generating our own ideas w/ active reading to help generate those ideas--are where young scholar skills are weakest. They struggle to conjure up their original work.

My mom went onto hospice care 1/1/2021. Hospice wants you to choose a mortuary up front, because hospice handle things when the person dies. I remember being unable to find a mortuary that would commit to taking my mom's body and being told if she died to "get ice." I'll never forget that -- ever.
COVID mRNA vaccines "At first it was only for elderly and healthcare professionals, L and doctors would pull up in these cars full of coolers and laundry because they had been living out of their car, away from their family with an immunocompromised member (often) for months Meanwhile American men:
