Due to some sort of Charles Dickens horseshit, the left loves talking about people literally not having any food, even though you can see that people are not starving, instead of housing, where you can see many people literally do not have housing.

Literal starvation is rare—and this is fair to point out—but this is in part because poor people go to great efforts to go to food pantries, fill out SNAP applications, budget carefully, etc. These seem like reasonable things for leftists to be concerned about.

It's important that those things continue, but the issue of literal starvation is resolved by current practices. From there, we are talking about hassle or preference which are still important, but they are not a matter of life and death.

Housing on the other hand is not remotely a solved issue, hassle and preference completely notwithstanding.
