In 2024, 11,337 children under 16 were injured on roads in Great Britain, according to the DfT. These include 42 killed and 2,357 seriously injured, a number little changed from a decade earlier. Most were not killed or injured in front of schools but in the rest of the road network.

Thanks for the comment, but its really about scale and resources. Data does show that wide adoption of 20mph limits does reduce speed, particularly where speeds are higher. See our view on "self-explaing roads" at www.20splenty.org/why_not_self...
