What people haven't realized is that due to "pay-as-you-go" (PAYGO) which refers to a budget rule and a tax system, both designed to manage spending and revenue in a way that avoids increasing deficits. This means that cuts will eventually be applied to Medicare. I'm not sure of the timing.

I called my Republican representative, Young Kim, at least 70 times since Trump is in office. Her staff told me over and over she does NOT want to cut Medicaid. She voted for this bill twice. She has 157,000 medi-Cal recipients in her district.
