I regret to inform you that Zita. Mostly I go to work and then I go home from work. You can't pronoun me in a way that matters.

Don't worry guys all the characters in Halo were besties weren't they (i'm done excavating my old dinosaurs hope you liked 'em!)

The "hard questions" he is referring to were from this one (shout out to my friend tbone for the fun ask)

He's working so hard. He's doing to be good at the alliance with aliens. He needs them to know he's so so so serious about it!

It's not very long but I had been in the mines on this one off and on since 2022. I wanted to think hard about the Arbiter and Johnson and portray my favorite character purely through the outside perspective of others trying to communicate with him. (There are no Chief POV sections at all.)

Oh also I've been taking 65 million years to read King Tyrant by Mark Witton, which is a wonderful illustrated/be-diagramed book about what we know about Tyrannosaurus Rex. I am very slow with it cause it's not an audiobook but it's really really really cool.

Couple more: Careless People - Wynn-Williams (The book Facebook was trying to ban, absolutely jawdropping tbh) Enshittification - Doctorow (The actual book about that idea and how it happens)

The War Within a War - Haygood (antiblack racism and the Vietnam War) American Wolf - Blakeslee (The killing of wolf O-Six) Underland - MacFarlane (Gorgeous book about undgergound space/the anthropocene) Open Veins of Latin America - Galeano (The history of exploitation of latin america)

i haven't seen one but i once spent an afternoon playing around with a design where you would roll 2 dice for rolls but one of them would "stick" and you had to do certain things to get a reroll. (ultimately didn't go anywhere, decided it might be a bad idea.)

i forgot about this already but it turned out to be 6.5k words and the relief i felt upon finishing it was similar to the relief one feels after throwing up, brushing teeth, and showering.

I think I can do it but getting work is not about being able so much as it is self-marketing. And that's the part that makes me feel like I'd rather be lit on fire and pushed out to sea. (Or at least continue watching my finances slowly bleeding out on the peanuts my current role pays.)

I am that guy who politely hassles the one expert we have for info on [thing] because there's nothing written down and he won't write it, so I have made my own list of answers to the most common customer questions about [thing] that are not covered by manufacturer literature. Stuff like that.

I would love to have A Career and not just A Job, but I believe I'm cursed and don't have anything to offer that I can convince a business to take a chance on and maybe I should just go eat dirt in the yard actually.
