This makes me so mad because everything in the Framework Laptop 13 Pro is a huge game changer. They made a Linux laptop with MacBook Pro quality and insane battery life and then got kicked in the nads by RAM companies. Look what they took from us.

The Framework Laptop 13 Pro is almost everything we hoped for. @superantonio64.bsky.social says it has "the best haptic trackpad not made by Apple." Great battery life too. But that price... www.theverge.com/tech/971160/...

Schools are adding pepper-spraying drones to help combat active shooters The plastic, non-lethal aircraft, which can smash windows and ram attackers will be at the ready at certain schools in Colorado, Florida and Georgia www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2026/...

Game Pass is *already* a bustling indie library, and the author lists a ton of indie games they discovered and loved via Game Pass. Their argument appears(?) to be that Game Pass shouldn't have day-1 games, which is a fine discussion point but NO ONE outside of Xbox knows enough about the economics.

Mat Piscatella

"transforming Game Pass into a bustling indie library could work to both rapidly shrink the costs of running the service, as well as retain more subscribers" IMO the primary reason Game Pass failed to hit its subscriber targets is because the mass market simply does not care to play lots of games.

The TLDR on this... It's fair to suggest new development models (we all have our ideas), but where the industry lands will be a result of the economics. The economics will effectively force the model, the model can't be forced on top of the economics. www.gamesindustry.biz/after-half-a...
