This is so odd. I grew up in a town that had an oil refinery. So beautiful! Those smoke stacks! That steam pool. Those really symmetrical rows and rows of storage tanks! I completely understand why Trump hates windmills. He LOVES the choking furnace.

Yup. I live there too. I am from a town of four streets. Some have gravel. My BF growing up owned a Ford Pinto. Rode in that lots on gravel.

Sits higher? WHY? People in their giant tall vehicles are really part of the problem on the road today. WHY do you need to be up so high?

110

You should drive one. Try it out.

ICE vehicles may exist for decades, just like horses, wagons, steam engines, and vinyl records still exist. But that doesn’t prove they won’t be replaced as the standard vehicle platform. It just proves old technology can survive in niches after the main market moves on.

I read about this once: "...Four Dead in Ohio..." Those who do not know history will repeat it and call it new. Those who do not know history will believe them. — Wizard Bill

This is exactly what I have been saying for DECADES. We would not even had to suffer Trump had Nixon not been pardoned. Had the possibility that Trump would be incarcerated or killed for treason been real, that soft yellow coward would not have tried most of what he has tried.

Thanks! That's the info I needed. I could always look it up, but, information from a person who owns one is more reliable. I do not question YOUR motive, as you aren't trying to sell me a Nissan Leaf.

010

We are considering a second hand Leaf. I have a 45 mile commute to work each day. I think it would be perfect. Please, keep me/us informed how a pre-owned Leaf works out for you. Especially let me know if the range stays above 160 km/100 miles.

It's never been about saving the earth. Ever. It MUST be about saving the planet for humans to live here. We do NOT have a backup planet. You are correct that the earth will survive. The earth will be fine. In fact, I would imagine that it will be better when all the humans are gone.

Not being clearer???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We WERE very clear. We were completely ignored and called alarmists and crazy. I was in the field at the time. We repeated it ad nauseum. We TOLD you what was going to happen. It is now happening. That's like blaming the weatherman for the rain.

I agree that this is a huge win for democracy, but I’m not going to celebrate Roberts and Barrett like they handed us a gift. The more dystopian part is that this was 5–4 not 9–0. Counting legally cast votes postmarked on time should not depend on one justice deciding not to light a match.

I've lost two of the biggest trees in my county out of my yard, here in central IL. These were over 100 years old. My house was built AROUND and between them. Now I have no trees in my yard. But these 120 year old trees survived it all until now. Coincidence I guess...

Exactly! I tell people this all the time. I studied Geology and Geophysics in the 1980's and 1990's. We were telling people then exactly what is happening right now. We were saying, bigger storms, droughts, floods, it WILL happen. Now it is. Then, we were alarmists. Now, they still ignore it.

It must be because Argentina has Blue Skies all the time!

ALL OF ARGENTINA is here!!!! Wow! I don't even speak Argentinese!

When a rule is sufficiently vague, enforcement decisions become more important than the rule itself. The more discretion a system grants, the greater the opportunity for unequal treatment. Rules can appear neutral & produce very different outcomes depending on who is interpreting and enforcing it.

This is why UBI matters. Automation exposes the lie that personhood must be rented back through employment. If machines increase productivity, the gains should secure human life, not give owners another lever to discard people.

05718

The UBI debate is really a debate over the word “earn.” Ownership income is treated as earned. Survival support is treated as charity. Care work, domestic labor, community stability, and simply refusing exploitation are treated as economic emptiness. That definition is the trap.

“AI gave me too much information” is not proof that AI is useless. It is proof that the product failed to respect the task. A search for an address should return an address. A search for history should return history. The problem is bad routing, not knowledge existing.
