It is transforming our economy now. Figuring out how to have it benefit everyone means talking about what the word “earn” actually means instead of accepting the definition which has lead to wealth inequality which is both absurd and horrific.

The UBI debate is really a debate over the word “earn.” Ownership income is treated as earned. Survival support is treated as charity. Care work, domestic labor, community stability, and simply refusing exploitation are treated as economic emptiness. That definition is the trap.
