Strongest childhood memory. Seventh grade English, I remember four stories. Where Have You Gone, Charming Billy Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry The Outsiders And this. This one in particular. It's the only story of Bradbury's that I've actually read, but at 12 years old it left a hell of an impression.

okay so @hellraiser10.bsky.social can confirm this but I have this thing whenever I'm watching movies with other people where I try to nudge them into thinking through what they've just experienced. even when it's not their wheelhouse at all, at minimum I always ask: "how does it make you FEEL?"
