Too many people have the idea that #surveillance is about the gathering and processing of information. But it's *never* just been about that. Often, the main purpose is Intimidation and internalization of control, reducing the ability and willingness to think, organize, act and fight back.

Just because there have been some reversals like Hungary, this does not mean that support for the #Far-Right in #Europe has stopped growing. And let's not forget that this is only aided by conventional parties moving their policies towards the far-right. #Fascism has to be fought not accommodated.
