I've spent the last year-ish fighting (and losing the battle against) the integration of "AI" into my workplace. I'm technically an org "leader" but outnumbered and essentially alone on this (and other issues) so I've begged them to read what I share and consider the consequences, etc. etc.

A very brief stop in Reykjavik last week on my way home from almost two weeks of work in London. I didn't see much, but I did see this.

Almost all the grass in Hyde Park is dead. I don't remember it that way. Is it the heat? Drought? Have I just never been in London in July? (I've been here in August and I remember it green.)

My 85-yr old, disabled mother declaring she's ready to go to prison to invigorate the tax withholding movement bc "someone has to do it." And like, yes, I agree, we need someone (really lots of someones) to re-invigorate a protest tax withholding movement, but can we also agree it shouldn't be you?!

It never fails. If my dog is going to get skunked, it's going to be at 10 pm. NEVER FAILS.
