Really disappointing. But also, yeah, they make them to be dopamine machines and addictive. That's the point. Keep you coming back to spend, spend, spend. Don't do AI, kids.
KotakuYouTuber Hank Green Admits He Has Unhealthy Relationship With AI After Facing Backlash Over Recent Video 'The level of dopamine I've been getting from interacting with LLMs is not healthy for me,' said Green

Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney, or Ghibli. I know it's not 100% accurate, but it got plenty right, and for mythologizing the early days of NASA, no film did it better than The Right Stuff.

Absolutely agree with Chuck. And also, you can be authenticate just by being yourself, you don't need special "apps" for that. That's just the grifters breaking shit and then selling you a half-assed "solution" to the problems they made.
Chuck WendigI'm not letting AI horseshit maneuver me into a defensive position with my writing. I write like I write. I love emdashes. I keep using emdashes. Whatever we write, AI will take and copy it -- all you can do is keep writing the best shit you can write in the form you want it to take, and fuck it.
Coming soon! Still have some final editing work to do, and then make decisions on how to handle print copies.

Just an FYI, donate to Paige if you can. She ran a great, grassroots campaign with no big donors, and paid the final cost for all her staff on her credit cards, which she now needs to pay off. Her progressive views have my support and I hope she runs again. www.gofundme.com/f/paige-loud
That feeling when you forgot you posted a half-assed joke and, when you log back in a half hour later, you see an avalanche of notices.

Now I'm sidetracked by "Blood," the final album released under the This Mortal Coil group name. This one particularly haunts me. It's the poem "I Come and Stand at Every Door" by Nâzım Hikmet Ran put to music, sung by Deirdre and Louise Rutkowski. CW: child's death www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kpH...
It's an amazing album. Everyone tried to be forward thinking and they came out with some unique pieces. There aren't many other albums I can compare it to, although some of the 4AD, This Mortal Coil, type stuff is vaguely similar.
After talking to the wife this morning about Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (as one does), I've called for a Trollbreath Radio Friday and queued up, "I'm Your Fan," a collection of Leonard Cohen covers by various indie groups, including Nick. One of my fave albums. www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2X5...
100% correct. The LLM was setup to try and break security, that's how it was programmed. It didn't "go rogue," it did what they had prompted it to do, after they had turned off the safeguards. OpenAI is trying to save face for their own cyber attack.
Disciple of TelestoAlso like... if this 'rogue AI' is such an issue, then surely *surely* that would be grounds for the government and companies to place an immediate moratorium on shoving AI into everything!!! Instead it's fucking AI companies sensationalising this bullshit in a push for more funding.
