A developed country has things to leverage. An underdeveloped country does not. Their positions are in no way comparable.

Donald Trump used to tell a story about how he walked past a homeless person with his daughter. He pointed at the homeless person and said "he's wealthier than me" because he was deeply in debt at the time. That is what your comparison between Japan and Haiti sounds like. You understand why, right?

Buddy, I do not have to account for every difference in the development of countries in order to understand the effect of 2 centuries of crippling debt that France still refuses to make reparations for.

I already addressed that in the post you are responding to. France and other Western countries had centuries to develop. Countries like Haiti have been denied that by debt. But racists pretend that with doesn't matter just like a trust fund kid thinks they earned their social and economic position

France benefited from those debt payments. It was able to use that money and lots of other money extracted from colonies in order to develop. The story is very similar in other former colonial powers.

Do you know what year Haiti finally finished paying off the reparations freeing themselves from French slavery? 1947 I think even a very racist person is capable of understanding how a couple centuries of crippling debt can prevent the proper development of a country. But only if you try.
