Having art of my fics that I commissioned is wonderful and entirely worth it 🥹 It’s just that 👉🏻👈🏻 we always kinda hoped/wished that someone would do art from our fics simply because they read one and liked it enough to create art from it. Oh well.

As a former bookseller, I very agree with this message. Books are not the only ways to engage with stories that make you feel things or any of the other stuff. Books are wonderful! But there’s no need to act like they’re the only way/best way. Stories existed before books/scrolls/writing.
