As a former bookseller, I very agree with this message. Books are not the only ways to engage with stories that make you feel things or any of the other stuff. Books are wonderful! But there’s no need to act like they’re the only way/best way. Stories existed before books/scrolls/writing.
👑🪝Lea 🫖I say this as a person whose primary form of entertainment through childhood was books and am taking my kids to get their Book It pizzas tomorrow. Reading is GOOD. Just don’t be elitist about it.
