I always wear a mask out of my house (which is exceedingly rare given we still have no ramp 🫠), & when I see someone else in one, I immediately feel my anxiety ease. Please mask. It makes such a difference, in so many ways.

What I really like about Steering the Craft is how le Guin wrote it for experienced writers. She doesn’t bother with tips for beginners, and assumes the reader knows what they’re doing, and what she is saying. I appreciate when authors respect their readers— it shouldn’t be such a rarity.
