Keep in mind, they are nowhere near as heavy-hauling as metros, tramways, or even BRT. (10s of thousands of passengers per day for aerial trams, vs. 10s of thousands per hour for rail.) But there are lots of places where they can complement existing urban transit networks...

This is framed as a feel-good story, but it should scare the wits out of anybody on the road. Tesla's deceptive marketing is convincing seniors that the cars drive themselves. In reality, a human must always be ready to intervene. If someone lacks the ability to do that, they shouldn't be driving!

We've got our hands full with the land and water we do have! 900 square kilometers of boreal forest per Canadian citizen. (Much of it burning.) And now Trump tells us we've got to rake it all to keep down the wildfire smoke, so we don't have a lot of time for expansion these days, eh?

I am concerned that, as with many transit issues, the US deals with implementation challenges by avoiding them. NY's MTA has 60 electric buses (~1% of fleet) & they're failing. So it's reducing its order for more. Comparison: —London: ~33% —Paris: ~21% —Milan: ~21% —Hamburg: ~39% —Barcelona: ~20%

Pretty awful as a I recall. Don't they trawl the kerbs, looking to fill up with passengers before they proceed?

There is no "one simple trick." In urban transit, or anything else in life, for that matter. (Only influencers would have you believe there is...)
