Oh yeah Costco rotisserie chicken is definitely another. And microwaved frozen peas! (With salt for fastest/laziest possible, with chili oil + sesame oil + salt if I've got 30 seconds to spare)

If I have zero time or brain: peanut butter, carrot sticks If I have a tiny bit more time and brain: make a giant pot of extremely basic khichdi (boil rice + mung beans in a Lot of water until soft) and eat w/ yogurt and achar (Indian pickle)

I feel deeply uncomfortable when people say people “transcended” (injuries, disabilities, etc) but I do agree that he (and Amber Gray, especially during the dance!) made the injury part of the performance in a fantastic way. I hope directors take more of this when casting disabled actors.

I’m so sorry. :(

How fascinating. Do you only enjoy foods that your ancestors ate? I enjoy all sorts of food my ancestors didn't eat!

*hug* I hope you have as smooth a recovery as possible.

And knowing they ghosted so many of their writers just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

You don't feel dismissive! I just want to make sure I'm being clear. And like. I am still very hopeful for the next season. I just feel like I had a lot of trust in the show and now I have a lot more "well let's see how this goes, hopefully better."

I don't specifically care about the concert so much as I care about... wanting to feel like what we sat through *mattered*? It just felt very "next season you'll find out why this matters." And I don't object to an arc that's way more character than plot, it just didn't land for me.

And that constant ongoing awareness of not being the target audience was admittedly also sad because with Interview I did 100% feel like the target audience in a way I've pretty much never felt before with a TV show.

000

Yeah I definitely agree that's what they were going for, I just didn't feel like that landed for me because it didn't actually feel like he *changed* at all. But I'm really glad it landed for you! I don't want to yuck other people's yum. And I was clearly not the target audience.

I do think most of the individual scenes were really well done (except again, the writing of Black characters was just... much worse, and it's painful watching the Black actors trying to say that without saying it, mostly by repeatedly going "remember THIS IS LESTAT POV NOT THE REAL CHARACTERS")

000

I think they could have made the ending work if they built up to it better! E.g. if they'd had more of Lestat refusing to take responsibility then him saying "the fault was mine" would hit harder. Or Lestat saying no Gabriella would have meant more if we didn't already know he does do the concert.
