I've had great nights out in London but it's always, always because a really nice guy from another country chats me up (Ireland, Spain, Venezuela one time, even Germany). Like I can count the number of Londoners who have willingly started conversations with me on two fingers

It's the "nice but not kind" ethos where I know if a disco ball falls on my head people will spring into action to help me but until then they'll be annoyed I exist and give the cold shoulder

I should I add I know some super nice guys in NYC, just as a whole it's a stand-offish crowd compared to other cities (reminds me London tbh)

When you live in LA you start to notice there's a big difference between the native Angelinos (nice, fun, chill) and the I'm The Main Character transplants who are there to looksmax and get famous (vapid, mean, only interested in you if you have clout)
