I choose to believe this is a looksmaxxing joke.

A minor rant: I have been playing TTRPGs for almost 40 years and I have never once met anyone, on- or offline, who has any affection for GREYHAWK. I'm sure they must exist, somewhere, but modern Wizards' repeated insistence on revisiting the setting makes me feel vaguely insane.

I have deal with an AI "proofreader" for a current day job. What's starting to get genuinely weird is that it does not know or understand the word "film."

Reminds me of every time I point out to work AI agent "you made a mistake" and it says, "You're right, I won't do that again." ... And it does it again. And again And....

I haven't been paying that much attention. Is DOOMSDAY supposed to be doing a Jonathan Hickman "incursion" plot between the Fox X-Men universe and the MCU? Further, has anyone already edited in the SSBU "Everyone is here!" music/text? Because this movie has too many people in it.

It's technically SHOWGIRLS, but MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION was a significantly worse experience. We expected a tight martial-arts fantasy and we got a community theater production.

Just watched THE PROWLER (1980). My takeaway is that someone should make a "cozy" video game like UNPACKING, but it's about a slasher villain frantically trying to hide/arrange his victims' corpses before they're discovered.

I've spent much of today on my own entry in this week's hot new viral trend, the "long-time game industry journalist/analyst wants to know what in the inconsolable, wind-swept fuck we're even doing anymore" essay. Take a look:

I was not expecting MARVEL RIVALS Jubilee to be the second coming of Kassandra from HUNTER: THE RECKONING. If I had a nickel for every loud Chinese-American lady dressed in a crop top with rapid-fire projectiles... well, 2 nickels. And it's not that weird, since they're 20+ years apart.

Today's discovery: MCNALLY'S SECRET, out of print, is on the Internet Archive. Some days, a foppish PI solving dumb crimes in Florida is just the thing you need.

I'd never finished Azzarello's HELLBLAZER run 'til today. People had told me it was weird. They undersold it.
