Er I mean the translation software here, which I guess is from Apple. It’s kinda terrible. It’s hard to see Twitter as better than Bluesky in any way, but they have it beat in language translations

Honestly while after what Duolingo did this may be a sore spot, I have found direct translation software using ai to be extremely useful. I have managed to have effective conversations with people in other countries using grok, while the translation software makes that impossible

Oooo okay. Thats actually really interesting. Ive gotten shit from both sides of the argument myself for saying the same thing about religion. A tool usable for good of for evil, but fully dependent on who the user is. I compared it to a car elsewhere, useful but extremely dangerous unregulated.

Honestly.... I am trying to find good purposes for it, cause well... Its probably not going away. I'm just real scared that it will make things that much harder for us in the creative field.

ahhh i see, i must have misunderstood. That is probably very useful actually. I've actually commented on how the translations that AI can do is far more effective than other translation programs so i see what you mean there.

I'm sure, I imagine it being useful for communication for example, As artists though it not only destroys opportunity but only functions by stealing and scraping our work. It's probably why we are so zealous against it. AI is making our lives that much harder.

Personally I don’t struggle as much as many when it comes to making art, but I have terrible depth perception issues that make foreshortening extremely difficult. I don’t need some ai crap to help me though, I will overcome.

God this again… they love to say ai helps people with disabilities, but when actual people with disabilities say they don’t need it then the ai bros attack and threaten them. It’s always been a lie and disabled people are yet again being hurt because of it.
