Random & potentially naive question but why aren’t leadership from Indigenous tribes or councils allowed to choose & send direct representation to every branch of government in Canada? It seems like this is the least that could be done, to provide automatic direct representation in all matters.

My son just informed my husband that women don’t need men to be able to procreate, just sperm, so at the end of the world, we only need women to survive, as long as we also have a cache of sperm saved as well. I am so proud of him 🥲

The thing about cognitive fatigue or “brain fog” is that it doesn’t change the way your brain works: it just scrambles it. You still have the same curiosities & drive for learning & knowledge, but you’ve lost the ability to learn & think at the speed & capacity you did before. Hence the disability.

I haven’t tried doing any programming or coding in ~20 years yet here I am trying to figure out why I the instructions for setting up a private home Minecraft server aren’t working while my kid talks at me & my brain is foggy & I don’t know what I did to make me hate myself this much.

I learned a lot about education leadership in my career but one big tell: if your school’s drama teachers aren’t running amuck every once in a while like whimsical clowns causing a little harmless mischief now & then, you’re probably a bad leader. If you don’t have any? Definitely a bad leader.

As a woman-bodied appreciator of women’s bodies, I have never once in my life thought about this & still don’t understand wtf they’re even talking about. Women’s hips are pretty much universally amazing & beautiful. This is such weird behaviour.

We didn’t do enough, & I think we need to study the sociological reasons behind why this happened. I think the economic & political reasons have been clear from the beginning, but what made us so scared of being accused of overreaction from the very beginning? What factors were at play?

My son’s birth was traumatic, but by far one of the weirdest things I did in my early days of postpartum hormonal chaos was when I tried to sooth my crying newborn by leaning & in whispering, “it’s ok, you’re the only one who can kill Macbeth” (he was delivered via c-section)

At least one of my overarching special interests is child development. Like if I had to be born with an obsession that’s a good one to have if you’re gonna be a parent. My dad’s is physics. So like… 🤷🏻‍♀️ My mom’s is psychology tho so that helps balance it out a bit.
