Unlike those hyperactive Western toads, Pacific chorus frogs are pretty chill. They sit nice and still and mostly don't mind you putting a lens right up close.

They told me that usually ~20% of the swallow pairs have a second brood but this season it’s closer to 50%. I attribute that to the zillions of mosquitoes that were eating me alive today.

Actually I am not 100% certain about the ID. It might be a green frog. But no backsies with posts on bsky.

yes when iNaturalist told me what I was I thought no, that can't be right. But then I found some sites that discuss the llifecycle.
